The Greener Grocer

The Greener Grocer is a for profit, year round produce stand located in the Historic North Market in Columbus, Ohio. The Greener Grocer is owned and operated by the partners of the Local Matters; a nonprofit organization based in Columbus, OH whose mission is the creation of a local food system and making the harvest of this food system available to everyone in our community. Our guiding principals: • We Offer Local, Ohio and Sustainably Grown Products • We Purchase from Small, Family-owned Farms and Community Gardens • We Select Food Based on Flavor • We Honor Our Employees with Fair Wages, our Farmers with Fair Prices and Our Community with Friendly, Informed Service • We Reduce, We Re-Use and We Recycle We will focus on bringing you a blend of organic and conventionally grown products that are “seasonal”, flavorful and offer our guests at the market an opportunity to complete all of their shopping needs for produce at our storefront
